Crowns and veneers

Crowns and veneers are used to improve the appearance of teeth which may be badly positioned or broken down teeth. Melbourne and Jane work very closely with our ceramic technician, Mick Fothergill, who creates works of art in his laboratory in North Shields!

Thanks to modern technology, we can now use life-like all-porcelain restorations . These crowns and veneers avoid the use of metal, and this means that the crowns and veneers have natural translucency and there is no visible dark line at the gum margins.

Fig. 2 shows how we changed this patient’s smile with 4 porcelain veneers.

Fig. 3 shows how we lightened this patient’s teeth and replaced her old metal-ceramic bridge with an all-porcelain one.
